Following delivery of an end to end bespoke diversity solution designed and delivered by Global Diversity Practice, Standard Chartered PLC, a British multinational financial services company, saw significant change across the business.
Representation of diverse talent at senior level across the business in Asia and Africa was increased, there was also greater collaboration between diverse markets such as China and India, and the process helped to streamline access to new markets.
GDP worked with Standard Chartered to create ‘bias-proofed’ talent and succession planning based on robust policies and procedures.
Working closely with the Head of Diversity Council, GDP delivered a global conference of senior managers which included interactive tools to develop delegate diversity competence. With Chief Executive support, diversity became a part of senior manager toolkits.
GDP was also involved in challenging informal aspects of selection, progression and performance management where unconscious bias impacted career progression especially in countries where the company was not achieving targets related to local leadership or gender equity.
