The Scottish Executive is responsible for most of the issues of day-to-day concern to the people of Scotland, including health, education, justice, rural affairs, and transport.
Global Diversity Practice was awarded a contract to develop Race Equality Performance Indicators for the Scottish Health Service through the National Resource Centre for Ethnic Minority Health (NRCEMH).
Race Equality Performance Indicators
- GDP initiated the project by running a series of Focus Groups, Familiarisation Events and Extensive Consultation sessions. The aim was to engage with all stakeholders to inform them of the design process and principles for the development of Race Equality Indicators (REPI).
- Development of comprehensive Race Equality Performance Indicators for Scottish Health Service
- Designed roll-out programme of training to support familiarisation of the indicators in setting up Race Equality Learning Accounts with 40 Health Boards
- GDP provided further consultancy and coaching to aid the successful implementation of the project
GDP developed the REPI in a creative and engaging way, such that they were endorsed by the Minister of Health in Scotland and integrated into all subsequent equality initiatives.
