Due to a massive surge in demand over the last 18 months, we are creating a new role which will play an integral factor in the continuing growth of our business, an award-winning provider of innovative, multi-disciplinary Diversity and Inclusion consultancy.  Our new Head of Consultancy will be delivering outstanding consultancy and EDI impact to our client base, whilst supporting the CEO and our business development function.

Global Diversity Practice work with an impressive range of international clients and global brands across the public and private sectors, including Shell, DHL, Samsung, Lenovo, BBC Studios, Hotel Chocolat, Financial Times and Husqvarna Group.

The successful candidate will work alongside the CEO and manage the consultancy division of the business, including the associate consultancy team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead client engagements on D & I including assessment of the current state of diversity and inclusion at the client, developing recommendations and strategic plans
  • Delivering leadership up-skilling and alignment sessions on D & I and working with clients to implement those plans.
  • Conduct reviews of people (usually through Focus Groups and 1-2-1’s), research literature, benchmark data, and industry best-practices and apply to the client’s D & I talent and people metrics
  • Contribute to the growth of GDP through business development and D & I proposition development, developing proposals and client presentations
  • Collaborate on D & I thought leadership including blogs, articles, research and podcasts
  • Contribute to our growing bank of D & I strategies, tools and frameworks to apply and bespoke for clients, providing insights that increase awareness of market/industry trends and sharing best practices to support an inclusive environment
  • In-depth knowledge of diversity and inclusion best practices and trends, plus knowledge of current UK Equality legislation

Core Skills & Experience:

  • 3 years plus experience working as a Diversity and Inclusion Consultant or Director with corporate (and ideally) international clients
  • A passion for Inclusion & Diversity and an ability to articulate the commercial benefits of a Diversity and Inclusion Strategy
  • In-depth knowledge of diversity and inclusion best practices and trends, plus knowledge of current UK Equality legislation
  • A proven track record in developing and delivering / implementing Diversity and Inclusion initiatives with private sector clients
  • Excellent planning and management skills
  • Project Management – the ability to structure and deliver work (including through others) to ensure objectives are achieved at the required standard
  • Able to work independently, multi-task, work under pressure, meeting conflicting deadlines, using judgement, discretion and initiative
  • A proven business development / sales ability
  • Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills and an ability to translate metrics, research and trends into strategy
  • Excellent interpersonal and senior stakeholder management skills plus inspiring presentation and influencing skills
  • Proven experience in influencing and inspiring others to adopt mindsets and behaviours that build sustainable change around D&I
  • Competent using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and Asana
