Global Diversity Practice delivered executive D&I sessions, unconscious bias test and tailor-made leadership training for UK Power Networks, a distribution network operator for electricity.
Implicitly, an innovative online test, was used to ensure training responded to the specific requirements of leaders and delegates. The sessions focused on understanding unconscious bias and providing bias reduction strategies as part of the development of inclusive leadership thinking.
UK Power Networks has now cascaded the inclusive leadership workshop. GDP is providing ongoing unconscious bias testing and analysis, which is used to fine tune the course to attendees.
Working with GDP’s partner video production unit, a short film was created to highlight the toll of micro-inequities on individual employees. Focus groups during the discovery phase of the Global Diversity Practice project provided key themes for the training and the film: ageism, gender, sexuality, ethnicity.
