Shameem Malik




Shameem Malik has been an equality and diversity consultant since 2002. Her consultancy work covers employment, service delivery, research, policy development and implementation.

Shameem’s consultancy work in the area of diversity has ranged from undertaking equality audits, reviewing and updating policies, employee consultations, conducting equality impact assessments and diversity training. Shameem has extensive experience of working with clients across the public. private and voluntary, including multi-nationals, government departments, local authorities and large and small voluntary sector organisations.

Shameem has particular strengths in:
▪ Gender equality
▪ Sexual orientation
▪ Human Rights.

Formerly, Shameem was Head of Equal Opportunities for Connexions Service National Unit, in the Department for Education and Skills. She has also worked as an Equalities Officer for Local Government.

Initially trained as a Lawyer, and then as a teacher, Shameem spending several years across a number of Educational establishments, including schools, colleges, universities and adult education, whilst pursuing Postgraduate studies.
