SWIFT

The Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) provides a network that enables financial institutions to send and receive information about financial transactions and sells software and services to financial institutions.

SWIFT appointed GDP to deliver unconscious bias learning to business leaders to increase awareness of the challenges it can cause. The training incentivised leaders to develop an inclusive culture and be accelerators for change.

1-2-1 interviews with key stakeholders established the project scope and highlighted key issues. GDP combined this feedback with insights from Implicitly Unconscious Bias tests with recruiters and people managers, focusing on gender, age and ethnicity.

Pilot workshops took place in Brussels, attended by the Chief Financial Officer. Following a successful delivery and very positive feedback, GDP cascaded the workshop into SWIFT offices in the Asia-Pacific region, the US and Europe.

Post-session, 100% of participating recruiters said they understand unconscious bias and believe that D&I can help SWIFT to better achieve leadership and business goals.
